Hello SpeySound Radio listeners. Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m a seasoned professional with over ten years of experience driving a radio mixing desk, primarily within community radio. My passion for media extends beyond radio, as I’ve also trod the boards in repertory theatre and had the pleasure of dabbling in television and film, hanging around on set and soaking in the creative atmosphere.
Having lived in the breathtaking West Highlands of Scotland for over 25 years, I’ve found myself drawn to the quieter, coastal charm of the East since 2022. Whether behind the scenes in media, or immersed in the natural beauty of Scotland, I bring an eclectic mix of experiences that allow me to see and tell stories from multiple angles.
I’m the proud parent of three children who’ve all flown the nest, and as they’ve charted their own courses, I found myself seeking new adventures. At the age of 50, I took on the challenge of earning my private pilot’s licence — nothing like a bit of altitude to keep life exciting! And when I hit 60, I decided to add a bit of grace (or at least some fun) to my life by taking up ballet. Now, I can pirouette and jeté — albeit not very gracefully — right in front of my own mirror. It’s all about having fun and staying active, no matter the age or skill level!
